Build an early Triangle-area range around sauna type, capacity, finish level, and site complexity. Then use the methodology below to see what the number includes—and what still needs a site visit.

Calculator methodology
How the estimate is built
Starting ranges
The model begins with broad installed planning ranges: $3,500–$9,000 for infrared indoor, $7,000–$16,000 for traditional indoor, and $12,000–$28,000 for outdoor projects. These are editorial planning assumptions, not vendor quotes or market averages certified by a third party.
Capacity adjustment
The baseline represents a typical two- to three-person project. One-person projects use a 0.85 factor; four- to five-person projects use 1.35; and six-plus projects use 1.70. Actual equipment and room dimensions do not scale perfectly with capacity.
Finish and site factors
Premium or custom finish applies a 1.35 factor. Moderate site complexity applies 1.12 and complex site work applies 1.28. Results are rounded to the nearest $500 to avoid false precision.
What the result is not
The calculator does not inspect your panel, verify zoning, select a heater, measure a room, price a contractor, or account for concealed conditions. Confirm the final scope through written proposals from qualified professionals.
